B was telling me about how she was showing off some of these at fangirl hangs down under last night, which reminded me that I have art to post. Of course, upon uploading art I discovered that, actually, I've been remiss in posting and have a lot of art to post. Since, apparently, I've been uploading things to Lj scrapbook and then forgetting to post them. (Well, I mean. Some of them I've just been "forgetting" to post, because I want to finish the story that goes with them first, but that's a whole different kettle of fish.)

Because apparently it isn't enough to just have Ryan knock up genderswap Brendon and make an honest woman out of her, B and have another 'verse in which Ryan is a single dad. Who somehow ends up in a relationship with his ( lesbian coworkers )

I could've sworn I posted this months ago, but apparently I never got further than drawing, coloring, scanning, and uploading it to scrapbook. I assume. Because it already had a description when I tried to upload it again just now. I didn't know scrapbook could do that! (Particularly since it renames all the files when you upload them anyway.) Anyway, this is from the same random universe/place as this.

Finally (FINALLY!), here's the picture that I originally started out this post intending to post, before I found all the other stuff that's been sitting around, waiting in the wings. Not too long ago, I posted a drawing that served to indulge my ridiculous fascination with Nate/Cash (and to inform you that I am not, in fact, dead). That image actually does a very good job of misleading you into thinking that the AU it is from doesn't in fact revolve around ( something entirely different that indulges B's similarly ridiculous (but admittedly more mainstream) OTP. )

So, yeah. A lot of art. Now I'm going to be a little tacky and quietly remind people that I take commissions, because my paid time for Dw ran out a month or so back and I like being able to crosspost to IJ also for backup purposes. :)

No, really, I'm not dead! I've just been horrendously swamped at work. And busy with school. And out of the country. And reading a lot of mystery novels...

But I figure y'all haven't really noticed/minded my impromptu hiatus/mia/whatever since this fandom is dying/dead/something like that. BUT I REFUSE TO MOVE ON. I'm weird like that. So, have some crazy partial-genderswap art pandering to my odd infatuation with Nate/Cash (though I guess this is more Cash/Nate, but whatever). Also, an Ian. Because he is an awesome wingman. :D

Today, instead of writing things I should be writing (Hallowe'en ficlets, that TSH fic that I swear I'm going to finish one of these days, you know), I sat down (which is to say, I lay down in my bed, because that's the wonder of laptops and I'm all about being half-horizontal whenever possible) and started writing Cobra fic.

Yeah, no, I don't get it either. (It will eventually have copious Cabling cameos, due to my new favorite crack pairing of Nate/Cash, this is entirely B's fault.) To this end, I've finally taken the time watch some Guy Ripley stuff (trust me, this is essential to the plot) (well, alright, not really, but it adds something to the characterization and really, only Guy Ripley can make Gabe look less ridiculous when I'm writing something that's not Panic!-centric and thus have no excuse to add in random Ryan whenever I feel like it). This was going to lead somewhere, but I can't remember where, because I momentarily paused in the middle of writing this to start looking up ages, since this, for some reason, matters to me and also B reminded me.

Anyway.

Writing Cobrafic! To this end, does anyone feel like reccing some Cobrafic to me? I apparently write a passable Guy Ripley now (or so B tells me), and I think I can manage Gabe (maybe) and Nate (maybe—as it is, he pretty much gets to be long-suffering due to shenanigans and crushes and Cash may or may not get relationship advice from Ryan which will be HILARIOUS, trust me), but, to be honest, most of what I've read has had very little with other Cobras. And I'm about to start writing a lot of them. Supposedly. It might just be a lot of Nate being long-suffering and Cash being ridiculous and me trying to work in all the backstory without being obvious about it and ummmmmmmmmm...

Hi, hello. Sorry I've been kind of MIA lately—apparently working full time and going to school full time simultaneously is not conducive to internet/fandom life, who knew?

I'm currently on vacation, but that doesn't mean much, as I'm spending it running around New Zealand with belle_bing. Craziness!

At sometime during the next couple weeks, I plan to crack down on the Halloween prompts, but, since I'm the sole driver for this escapade, I cannot guarantee anything.

And now I am away to paint! Mmmm, painting.....

I might eventually share all the superhero(ine) designs I've been drawing up. Right now I'm on the fence, because I still don't know if I'll write the fic to go with them, and considering how many (really awesome) designs there are, it might be considered taunting...?

It's that time of year again! For the past two years, I've done the trick-or-treat meme with a twist. A quick poll (i.e., I asked B last night) determined that popular opinion is that I should do it again this year.

Comment here with a prompt and I will write a one sentence fic/drabble/ficlet to it! No guarantees your "treat" will be completed today/any time soon (again—am working full time and going to school full time at the moment), but they will be completed sometime. Probably by February, at the latest. Keep in mind that all "treats" will be AU.

Hi, everyone. Sorry I've been missing lately, apparently working full time and going to school full time simultaneously is something that leaves one exhausted—who knew?

I'm posting because I'm hoping someone knows something about what I think is a malicious bot. The other day I received a message over AIM from some random person, saying that some girl claimed to know me and wanted me to IM her at "princesstera400." This message came while I was at lunch, and by the time I came back, the person who had sent the message (not princesstera400) was offline. I didn't think anything of it, since I figured that if princesstera400 wants to get hold of me, she'll IM me herself. It's not like I have her blocked—I've never heard of her before. I didn't IM princesstera400 myself, as I thought it was weird that someone else was delivering the message, and I was on my work computer (a PC, hiss) which has had chancy virus protection lately.

Since meebo (which is what I use for chat at work) doesn't keep logs of people not on my buddy list, I forgot about it. Then yesterday I got an IM from someone else (not the same SN that sent the first message) saying that oh, this princesstera400 said she knew me from school and wanted me to message her. The message came right before I was leaving for the day, so I ignored it. (Though I was a little weirded out, as clarityhiding is not the SN I give to anyone from school.)

Just now, I got the following, the first to the clarityhiding SN, the second to an old RP SN that I keep as a backup:

[11:13] thersarsi: this chick on the screen name princesstera400 is saying she knows you im her.

[11:23] dennacqsa: this girl is saying she knows you her sn is princesstera206.

Does anyone know anything about this? Every message has been different, but each time they've been all lowercase, with some third party insisting that some girl says she knows me (ha, yeah right) and wants me to IM her at princesstera400. It looks like messaging princesstera400 probably causes some spambot to hack your AIM SN (I know I had something like that happen with an old MSN Messenger SN, though that was a case where it you replied to a message from a hacked SN, your SN got hacked). Is anyone else getting messages over AIM about "princesstera400"? I should note that I've yet to get one of these at home, where I use Adium. Each time I've received one, I've been at work, using meebo.

Edit: Definitely a spambot. Apparently if you search for the SN in question without the attached number (which I obviously should have done), you come up with some porn star/site. There's at least one other spambot of this sort going about now also, only giving a different SN as one that you should IM. Remember, people! If someone you don't know is messaging you to tell you to message someone else you don't know, ask yourself: Why is this person not IMing me themselves if they want to talk to me?

Uuuuuugh, old posts in JF communities, stop waking up the plot bunnies for fics I have given up the ghost on. Do not start getting into interesting details about DID, I really don't need to resurrect that bunny, if I did, I'm sure someone would call me out for being horribly insensitive and failing to do research and all kinds of other things. And I still have no idea how to end the damned thing while keeping everyone happy and not giving Spencer and Jon the shaft. (I also have this awful feeling that I'm using that term incorrectly. Vague understanding of semi-current slang, don't desert me now! Again. That would suck.)

SIGH.

Also, if someone should have a good idea for how Bob could kill off an alien that looks like a person in broad daylight without getting himself locked up, I'd really love to hear it. All I can come up with is a shaky thing involving a fire extinguisher and Bob being awesome about rescuing an adorable little kid. :\

Hm. This started out as film noir!Ryan, and then, because I'm all vague on modern history (PSH, MODERN HISTORY), it turned into something that's sort of 1920s with anachronistic!Ryan. And crossdressing!Brendon, because I draw my girl!Brendons much bustier than this. Yay!

A while back I posted a poll about what I should do for B's birthday, and then proceeded to ignore the results as I so frequently do with my polls. :D

Anyway, I ended up drawing/painting art for her. Since she finally has that (I'm late, yeah, I know it), I'm sharing! The painting was a commission that none of you will have any interest in, but drawings consisted of another picture like the one of When the Day Met the Night, only this time of Northern Downpour:
